As the screen continues to rot their brains, and wires plunge into their veins, they wake up one day and realize that their lonely hearts are slowly becoming one with their beloved machines.

PEOPLE ARE SO SHY THESE DAYS is a 12-illustration zine about coping with loneliness through technology.

It tells a story of various girls who have been afflicted with a mysterious robotic condition. Or maybe it doesn't.

Each piece tries to capture a tainted image of nostalgia through aesthetics inspired by the retrofuturism trends of the past and present.

Text meets illustration meets crunchiness meets robotgirls meets abstraction.

The result is pretty cool, I think.
