v1.6


Long time no see! I've decided to finally release version 1.6... I'm using this version as an excuse to fix some things that had nagged at me for quite a while, though most of them may not be that noticeable for players. A lot of it was related to CGs that were always intended to be in the game but got scrapped due to burnout near the end of development.. But, they're real now, and so I can feel a bit more satisfied with the game.

Of course, I also fixed some bugs. I actually didn't do a full game playtest for this version so hopefully I didn't accidentally break anything along the way...

The changelog:

  • New CGs when inspecting certain things. They're in Chapter 1 and Chapter 3
  • Completely changed Ending 4's credits sequence by adding new CGs. I actually wanted to add way more but I had to limit myself. Hopefully you guys like them!
  • Added another visual hint for Ending 1.
  • fixed a room in Chapter 2 that was supposed to have a snow effect but didn't
  • Fixed a bug where you could pause in the backstory cutscene in Chapter 4, along with some minor changes to that cutscene (again) (last time i swear)
  • Fixed the cauldron sprite in Chapter 1.
  • Slightly edited the water tileset in Chapter 3.
  • Added new options to the pause menu, mostly regarding screen resolution so that players using gamepads, etc, still toggle these settings how they please.
  • updated the README.txt file to reflect these changes, but for the most part its the same.

By the way, the artbook is going alright. I would say there's about 40 'filled' pages, with many more that have yet to be properly formatted or have commentary added, etc. Admittedly it's taking a lot longer than I wanted it to because it's hard to get into the right mindset when making it... But I hope it can be worth the wait. You'll probably see me post teasers or complain about it on social media, as one does.
