collect your regrets and go to bed.

a very short exploration-type game made for NOISE JAM. it should only take about 10 minutes to see everything and reach the end.

NOTE:
- This game uses intentionally eye-straining colors and graphics.
- There is no save system
- It may run poorly on some systems due to a lack of optimization. Some settings can be changed in the options menu.
- I didn't test the mac and linux builds so if they're broken then sorry lol

This was a nice walk, thanks for making it!

(Also has no commentary.)

It’s a vividly melacholic walking simulator game, where imi (in my interpretation), regretting of not being able to be with your companion the whole time, especially with what you are collecting and the responses you get to them. Accompanied as well, with a melancholic tune, despite the shortness of the game, it’s still an impactful one, especially when you finally able to go back to sleep. I might have missed some things, but at least I found the yuri poles.

Still, well done.

This was really beautiful... it gave me just the loneliest feeling to play. The ending was really lovely... well done!

This game was pretty to walk around in. I.... did not realize the world was endlessly scrolling... multiple times XD

However, I did enjoy walking around this world and the noisy art style. I feel like basicbean did a nice analysis, but for me the thing I kept thinking about is the melancholic sadness I felt while playing the game.

I really enjoyed the surreal dream-like visuals and presentation, the choice of colors were amazing and the music really set the tone well.

Spoilers

That ending really got me good T^T

My interpretation of this story (which could be way off) is about the regrets of not spending enough time / attention with those you love, specifically in this context, the character’s pet cat. Each area / interactable felt like a representation of something that siphoned time and attention away from the cat. My own personal theories behind the visuals, all of which represent parts of our lives that take our time / attention:

The piano in the hedge maze could represent a hobby or profession The letter in the park could be a romantic interest that is no longer around The phone amongst the powerlines could be the internet and phone usage The notebook could be school / studies and a literal sea of homework

The ending with the cat was really powerful and made me teary-eyed, I’m going to go give my cat like 100 pets right now lol

Amazing work starbage, really inspiring!

thank you for playing and leaving your thoughts!!! A lot of things are meant to be left up in the air or were just spur-of-the-moment decisions, but for a lot of it you aren’t far off from what I was originally thinking :-) im glad my vision could come through
